MARKER_START and MARKER_STOP captures the ROI (so this is the region we typically simulate in detailed mode). MARKER_INIT and MARKER_STOP captures the full execution which is useful to calculate an estimation for the "fast-forward" phase when we write the checkpoint from gem5.
