This PR provides a way to create custom rules (In my particular case I needed to whitelist a particular user-agent) so the example and the code so far is just to cover such case.
I would say it is a very initial approach that would need to be extended because it is hard to cover all cases.
why
We need to create a custom rule to whitelist bot traffic coming from a special user-agent where we couldn't use other rules like IP whitelisting. Without this PR the traffic was blocked by
AWSManagedRulesBotControlRuleSetrule.references
