1. \n is linux specific and will not work on windows or mac;
2. Version is not populated in the dev builds and will not work as intended there;
3. Why do this in the first place?

3. This proposal to include the utility version directly in the error message arose from the fact that requesting the version from the client can be very time-consuming, and it would be much more convenient to know the version immediately.
