Canisotrophy Node Group

  • Node that adds a fake anisotropic texture
  • Meant to add realism to the surface of tin cans and other cylindrical objects
  • Used in: Tin

  • Default Value: 1

Noise Scale:

  • Default Value: 16

XY Scale:

  • Default Value: 0.500

Z Scale:

  • Default Value: 24

XY Min Value:

  • Default Value: 0.100

XY Max Value:

  • Default Value: 0.300

ZY Min Value:

  • Default Value: 0.100

Z Max Value:

  • Default Value: 0.300

Outputs

- To Roughness & Bump -

  • Unconnected socket used as a label
  • Indicates that the other outputs connect to:
    • Roughness input on a Shader node
    • Height input on a Bump node

XYZ

  • Output: Stretched noise along X axis, and stretched radial noise on Z axis
  • Best for cylinders and related shapes

XY Only

  • Output: Stretched noise along X axis
