replaced `width` animation with `transform: scaleX()` and `transform-origin: left` in `styles.css` for `.scroll-progress`. updated `script.js` to modify `transform: scaleX()` instead of `width` in `ScrollProgress.update()` and `ScrollProgress.updateModal()`.

💡 What: replaced
widthanimation withtransform: scaleX()for the scroll progress bar instyles.cssandscript.js.🎯 Why: animating layout-inducing properties like
widthon scroll causes continuous layout thrashing, severely degrading rendering performance. usingtransform: scaleX()offloads the work to the gpu (compositing layer).📊 Impact: expected performance improvement is significant reduction in layout calculations per frame during scrolling, leading to a much smoother user experience, especially on mobile devices.
🔬 Measurement: verify by profiling rendering performance while scrolling; layout tasks should be minimal or eliminated for the progress bar updates.
