⚡ bolt: use gpu-accelerated transform for scroll progress#37
⚡ bolt: use gpu-accelerated transform for scroll progress#37
Conversation
optimized scroll progress bar by using scaleX transform instead of width. width forces layout recalculations on every scroll event, which causes jank. transform uses gpu acceleration, keeping 60fps smooth.

💡 what: replaced width animation with transform: scaleX() on .scroll-progress
🎯 why: animating layout-inducing properties on scroll causes synchronous layout thrashing
📊 impact: reduces main thread blocking on scroll events, maintaining smoother 60fps animations
🔬 measurement: run the playwright script or visually verify the top progress bar while scrolling
