  • add def files and scripts for base apptainer image and final image
  • add training script
  • change the data and config path on init.py

It's nice to have the option for container-based development! The actual container setup can vary across different HPC infrastructures, so I think it would be helpful to explicitly state who a particular configuration is intended for.

@frazane : thanks for the suggestion! I changed the title of the issue. If there are more people interested then it's maybe worth discussing at some point if we can find some common ground on this across sites. Apptainer is supported by more supercomputing centers so maybe we can find a common base config. The challenge, as usual, is who maintains the images and updates them regulalry.
