Workflow run #28168827390 failed before Claude was invoked (0 turns, 0 tokens). Investigation confirmed a transient Docker DNS resolution failure in the AWF firewall layer.

Root cause

awf-cli-proxy could not resolve awmg-cli-proxy by hostname at startup — EAI_AGAIN (DNS not yet propagated in Docker network). After 10 retries over ~50 seconds the probe gave up and AWF declared startup failure, aborting the run.

Findings

  • 9 consecutive prior runs (Jun 12–24) all succeeded; this was an isolated infrastructure blip
  • The typist.md workflow and its compiled lock.yml are correct — no changes required
  • The next scheduled run should succeed without intervention
