this pr compiles, hasn't been tested, makes the assumption that the app_id is the same, and the Authorization header doesn't need to be passed
if either of those assumptions are wrong, we will need to change it
(I assumed no auth header, because our other push notif code wasn't passing one)
also assumes same player_id will work
