Honestly, did you test this piece of code yourself? |
As I said before, I couldn't test code easily. I will try in few weeks to run a Linux server. |
pyrog: It is pretty easy to run the tasking manager in a virtual machine, VirtualBox + Debian, I have step by step instructions for getting it running if you want to try that. I think it takes 2 to 4 gigs of disk space for the virtualbox harddrive file. runs fine on my 6 year old desktop. Let me know if you want the step by step installation directions. |
@bgirardot: I would like to see them also please because I was unable I got stuck at 'Populate the database'. |
+1 on @bgirardot suggestion. I was running into issues without testing code, so I installed an Oracle VM and a Linux build. It's better to do it on a VM too because if you screw up the OS installing things or etc, you can just start a new one from scratch (as opposed to messing up your current OS). |
Yes please 😄 |
Hi pyrog, I don't have your email address and there is no private messaging on GitHub (is that right?) anyway, here is a link to my document with just literally step by step commands to install TM2, you can copy paste them into a debian terminal window and the whole thing will get installed except for 2 stops in the process, 1 wants you to re-mount the install CD and 1 wants you to put in a password for the DB user you create. I know it is not the most efficient install procedure and the versions of a few things might be 1 or 2 point releases behind but it works every time for me, in a VM or on Amazon AWS with Debian 7.7 I usually do the debian desktop install so I can use the web browser and code editing tools right in the virtual environment. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3tthXKXngzeSnFJZ3dsdXpvRm8/view?usp=sharing |
I started to run VirtualBox but for the moment the virtual server crash after the installation of osm tm2 dependencies (when I open the web browser). Need to check my virtual server on another computer |
