Building the web since 1999 — long enough to have migrated the same codebase from vanilla JS to script.acul.us to jQuery to React and back to vanilla again. Nearly ten years on Estée Lauder’s e-commerce platform, nearly ten years (and counting) running Swiftkick Web — Rails, Shopify, ADA, performance audits, and making other people’s sites behave.
Lately:
- Quartets — build and play NYT Connections-style puzzles. Free, open source, no account, no ads, no trackers, no bullshit. (source)
- ShoEthics — which sneaker brands are ethical this year, re-checked every time my kids outgrow their shoes.
- Two LÖVE2D games in alpha. Details when they’re ready.
- Rebuilding johnhutch.com in Phoenix/LiveView — the long way, on purpose, to learn Elixir properly.
Around here: mostly Ruby, some Lua, Python when a script insists. The private repos outnumber the public ones — client work stays client work.
