The Rockfall Prediction and Alert System is an AI-powered prototype designed for open-pit mines to enhance worker safety and minimize accidents. Using machine learning models trained on geological and environmental factors such as slope angle, rock size, moisture, vibration, and crack width, the system predicts the probability of rockfalls in real time. A Streamlit-based dashboard provides an interactive interface where users can input mine conditions and instantly view risk predictions along with model accuracy. The system also includes an alarm simulation that alerts workers when rockfall risk is detected. The project is deployed locally with Ngrok for remote access, and future improvements include integration with hardware components such as cameras and IoT sensors for real-time monitoring and automatic on-site alarms.
