open defaultVtPath occupys current VT file, which will cause error to systemd-getty-generator during its VT check, makes getty auto-spawn impossible. In this commit we read current VT by
/sys/class/tty/tty0/active, which avoids occupying current VT.

Summary by Sourcery

Improve VT switching logic by reading the active virtual terminal from sysfs to avoid blocking getty auto-spawn and streamline file descriptor management

Bug Fixes:

  • Prevent occupying the current VT so systemd-getty-generator can auto-spawn getty after VT switching

Enhancements:

  • Read the active VT from /sys/class/tty/tty0/active using QFile instead of opening defaultVtPath
  • Add error handling and parsing logic for reading the active VT file
  • Move VT file descriptor open/close calls to avoid resource leaks

Hi @apr3vau. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a linuxdeepin member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

<issue_to_address>
Consider handling potential parsing errors from the active tty file.

Check the return value of sscanf to ensure activeVt is set correctly, and handle cases where parsing fails to prevent invalid VT numbers from being used.

Reviewer's Guide

Replace direct opening and parsing of the default VT device with reading the active VT from sysfs using QFile to avoid locking the terminal, and restructure the default VT device open/close to occur only when handling VT switches.

File-Level Changes

Change Details Files
Read active VT from sysfs via QFile instead of using VirtualTerminal::getVtActive
  • Added include
  • Replaced open(defaultVtPath) + VirtualTerminal::getVtActive with QFile on /sys/class/tty/tty0/active
  • Parsed VT number using sscanf and added error handling/log warnings
src/daemon/TreelandConnector.cpp
Move opening/closing of the default VT device to the VT switch handling path
  • Opened defaultVtPath only inside the conditional when a user VT is found
  • Invoked VirtualTerminal::handleVtSwitches on the newly opened fd
  • Closed the fd immediately after handleVtSwitches

Check for open() failure before using activeVtFd.

If open() returns -1, using activeVtFd may cause issues in handleVtSwitches and close. Please add error handling for open().
