Planning stage for Mai Blog App

Mai Blog

  • A blog that documents all the places I (Mai) have traveled to, allowing users to see and review my experiences. You can also create a blog entry; however, for personal reasons, I have opted not to allow users to delete any entries. These are personal memories, and like all memories, they should not be erased. Instead, they can be added to, similar to adding a new memory. :)

Frameworks:

  • Backend: ExpressJS, Node.js, SQL Postgres
  • Frontend: React JavaScript

  • Google Translate API: Used for translating blog content into different languages, enhancing accessibility for users around the world.

Installation:

To install and run this locally, follow these steps:

Clone the Repository:

First, clone the repository to your local machine using the following command:

git clone https://github.com/Maithanhceu/techtonica_assignments-/tree/795edb210b8481d42ca8ea2476525854662ee47b/mai_blog/client/src

Install Dependencies and Run the Server:

Navigate to the project directory and install the required dependencies, then start the development server using the following commands:

npm install npm run dev

Open the in the browser and you should see the following blog page:

You can get translated text:

User selecting a language to translate the blog content

You can add a blog entry:

User adding a test blog on the screen

Stretch Goals:

A playlist that allows users to have a more personal experience as they listen to all the music from my travels.
