βš™οΈ Running Locally (Guidelines)

Follow these steps to run the client project on your local machine:

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following installed on your machine:

Step 1: Clone the Repository

Clone the frontend client repository to your local directory:

git clone https://github.com/mdashraful24/Learn-hive-client.git
cd learn-hive-client

Step 2: Install Project Dependencies

Run the installation command to fetch all required npm libraries:

npm install

Step 3: Configure Environment Variables

Create a .env (or .env.local) file in the root directory and specify the following variables:

# Server Connection
VITE_API_URL=http://localhost:5000

# Firebase Credentials
VITE_apiKey=YOUR_FIREBASE_API_KEY
VITE_authDomain=YOUR_FIREBASE_AUTH_DOMAIN
VITE_projectId=YOUR_FIREBASE_PROJECT_ID
VITE_storageBucket=YOUR_FIREBASE_STORAGE_BUCKET
VITE_messagingSenderId=YOUR_FIREBASE_MESSAGING_SENDER_ID
VITE_appId=YOUR_FIREBASE_APP_ID

# ImgBB API Key
VITE_IMAGE_HOSTING_KEY=YOUR_IMGBB_API_KEY

# Cloudinary Storage Configuration
VITE_CLOUDINARY_UPLOAD_PRESET=YOUR_CLOUDINARY_PRESET_NAME
VITE_CLOUDINARY_CLOUD_NAME=YOUR_CLOUDINARY_CLOUD_NAME

# Stripe Payment Keys (Public Key)
VITE_Payment_Gateway_PK=YOUR_STRIPE_PUBLISHABLE_KEY

# EmailJS Service Keys
VITE_EMAILJS_SERVICE_ID=YOUR_EMAILJS_SERVICE_ID
VITE_EMAILJS_TEMPLATE_ID=YOUR_EMAILJS_TEMPLATE_ID
VITE_EMAILJS_PUBLIC_KEY=YOUR_EMAILJS_PUBLIC_KEY

Important

Make sure to replace YOUR_... placeholders with your actual API credentials. Never commit your .env or .env.local files to public repository branches.

Step 4: Run the Development Server

Launch the local Vite server:

npm run dev

Once the dev server is active, open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:5173 (or the port specified by Vite in your console).

Step 5: Build for Production (Optional)

To generate the static distribution bundle:

npm run build

This output is saved to the /dist directory, ready to be deployed to static hosting providers (such as Firebase Hosting).

πŸ”‘ Admin Credentials (Demo/Testing)

To log in as an administrator for demo or verification purposes:

  • Email: admin@gmail.com
  • Password: 123456As
