Link Guide
Please make sure that you’ve already installed the Spectra client, obtained an active organization key, and have your streaming software of choice ready. Also keep in mind that the content of this article is specifically meant for people who intend to use my style, so while most of the steps are going to be a similar process to how you would do it with the default style, there are a few key differences.
- Begin by ensuring you’ve filled in basic team information in the client (like team logos, name, and tricode)
- Click the “Extras” button, and continue to click “Start Mapban Session.” A browser window should open.
- Select the format (Best of 1, 3, 5, etc.) and proceed to select the map pool
- You should now see multiple links on the page. The team links should be given to the leaders of each associated team so they can complete the map selection process.
Stop! Please be aware that my style of mapbans is only intended to be used after the process has already been completed, meaning it is not live.
- Once the map selection process is complete, copy the viewer link you see at the bottom of the page. It should look something like this:
https://auto.valospectra.com/mapban?…
This is the default link. To change it to my style, replace auto.valospectta.com with nobii.[na/eu].valospectra.com. If you would like to use a fullscreen version of my mapban, add -fs after mapban.
So as an example: https://nobii.[na/eu].valospectra.com/mapban[-fs]?…
The overlay also includes an agent select graphic to use. To use it, simply use nobii in front of the normal agent select link.
For example: nobii.[na/eu].valospectra.com/agent-select?groupCode=[YOUR GROUP CODE]
Note: The default graphic is live, which is new and does not support WebGL2, meaning it will not work in certain browsers/browser sources, most notably vMix. The workaround is to do the following:
- Download an NDI plugin for OBS
- Add the agent select as a browser source in OBS, and then go to Tools > DistroAV NDI® Settings, and check "Main Output".
- Add an NDI input in vMix, and OBS should be there, showing the graphic.
If at any point you’d like to use the old non-live agent select graphic, you can still do so by appending /legacy to the very end of the link.
Some folks prefer to have full control over when a particular graphic is shown, which is why we give different links for the different game states. If you’d like an easier approach that combines agent select and the regular overlay, switching automatically when the game begins, change the link from the default (which says overlay in it) and replace it with autoswitch.
