This repository contains the code (main analyses and supplementary material) for the manuscript entitled "Singing-Induced Functional Neuroplasticity in Chronic Post-Stroke Aphasia: A Cross-Over Randomized Controlled Trial" by Noelia Martínez-Molina, Anni Pitkäniemi, Sini-Tuuli Siponkoski, Nella Moisseinen, Linda Kuusela, Sari Laitinen, Essi-Reetta Särkämö, Johanna Pekkola, Susanna Melkas, Gottfried Schlaug, Boris Kleber, Aleksi J. Sihvonen, and Teppo Särkämö.
The repository includes:
- Scripts and functions for analyzing behavioral (verbal learning) data.
- Scripts and functions for preprocessing neuroimaging (T1w, sparse sampling fMRI) data.
- Scripts for obtaining the singing network mask from healthy controls.
- Scripts and functions for task-based fMRI analysis, including group comparisons and brain-behavior correlations.
- Scripts for analyzing the in-scanner singing performance of patients with PSA.
- Scripts for visualizing motion outliers.
This repository requires the following software:
- MATLAB (R2021a or later) with SPM12.
- Python (v3.8 or later).
- R (v4.1 or later).
