RESULT PORTAL

A web-based Result Management System built to manage, publish, and view academic results in a structured and secure way. This project is currently under active development. Planned Authentication (Admin / Student roles) Secure result lookup (Roll No / ID based) Result upload via admin panel Validation and error handling Audit logging Improved UI/UX Deployment configuration TECH STACK Backend: Python Framework: Django Frontend: HTML, CSS (Django Templates) Database: SQLite (development) Static Assets: Django static files PROJECT STRUCTURE Result_Portal/ apps/ config/ data/ static/ templates/ manage.py requirements.txt README.txt INSTALLATION AND SETUP (DEVELOPMENT) Prerequisites: Python 3.8 or higher pip Virtual environment (recommended) Setup Steps: Clone the repository git clone https://github.com/noorkhalid/Result_Portal.git Navigate to the project directory cd Result_Portal Create a virtual environment python -m venv venv Activate the virtual environment Windows: venv\Scripts\activate Linux/macOS: source venv/bin/activate Install dependencies pip install -r requirements.txt Run migrations python manage.py migrate Start the development server python manage.py runserver Open in browser: http://127.0.0.1:8000/

SECURITY NOTES

This project is not hardened for production. Debug mode may be enabled Authentication may be incomplete Sensitive data protection is still in progress Do not deploy publicly without proper security configuration. TESTING Testing is currently minimal or manual Automated tests will be added in later stages AUDIT AND MAINTAINABILITY Modular project structure Designed for development-stage audits Documentation and logging will improve over time CONTRIBUTION Contributions are welcome after discussion.
