Summary

Closes #958.

This PR adds a concise Why PowerMem section near the top of the README, before Benchmarks, so new readers can quickly understand the problem PowerMem solves and how it differs from raw vector stores or ad hoc memory layers.

Changes:

  • explains the agent memory gap in the README opening flow
  • highlights PowerMem lifecycle management, Experience + Skill distillation, hybrid retrieval, and integration surface
  • links to existing architecture and Experience + Skill documentation

Validation

  • git diff --check
  • reviewed README placement before ## Benchmarks
