Early access program for newer TYPO3 versions

🐝 What is this all about?

Maintaining this extension is a lot of work. I did a significant part of that unpaid, but that is not sustainable.

Particularly, making the extension compatible with new TYPO3 LTS version is a tremendous effort, usually around 10k€ work per TYPO3 LTS version. Finding customers to pay for the whole amount (or two for half of it) via crowdfunding also turned out to be not sustainable. This also lead to compatibility with new TYPO3 LTS versions for this extension coming really late.

I want to change that: I have create a version of this extension that is compatible with TYPO3 12LTS. This version is available in a private GitHub repository to those who take part in the early access program.

🔑 How does this work?

What you do

  1. You select one of the early access tiers.
  2. You either write me an email with the tier you've chosen, and (for monthly tiers) if you'd like monthly billing or a multi-month invoice, and your billing address (which means that you'll get the invoices from me)
  3. or you select the corresponding tier on my GitHub sponsoring page (which means that you'll get the invoices from GitHub)
  4. You then email me the GitHub account with which you'd like to get access to the early-access version, and how you'd like to get mentioned and linked in the release notes or the extension manual.
  5. If you need access for more than one GitHub user, please book multiple support packages.
  6. After I've granted that account access to the private repository, you can add the lines show below to your composer.json to use the early-access version.
  7. If you find any issues, please report them in this repository here, not in the private repository.
  8. If you decide that you'd like to cancel your access, you cancel your GitHub sponsoring or write me an email. (I invite you to continue your support even after I've release a 12LTS-compatible version which helps me with maintaining this extension.)

What I do

  • I give the corresponding GitHub user access top the private repository once I've received written the invoice or the GitHub sponsoring.
  • I update the early-access repository regularly to be on top of the latest changes of the public version of the extension.
  • I regularly update the progress counter at this page.
  • Once the financing for the 12LTS-compatible version is complete, I will release a public 12LTS-version of this extension. I will then also start development of a 13LTS-compatible version and provide it in a new branch in the private repository.
  • If you cancel your support, I will remove access for the corresponding GitHub user after the ende of the period that you've paid for.

🎫 Early access tiers

The higher the tier you choose, the earlier I will release the public compatible version of this extension.

📆 Monthly support tiers

For the monthly tiers, you'll have access for as long as you are subscribed to the corresponding tier.

XXS monthly: 50€ net per month

  • You get access to the private repository for as long as you continue your subscription.

XS monthly: 100€ net per month

All of the above, plus:

  • You get access to the add-on extensions for seminars which I'm planning to write, e.g., for creating certificates of attendance or for connecting with the accounting system "Collmex".

S monthly: 250€ net per month

All of the above, plus:

  • You help me release the public compatible version a bit earlier.
  • I list you as a supporter in the release notes.

M monthly: 500€ net per month

All of the above, plus:

  • You help me release the public compatible version event earlier.
  • I list you as a sponsor in the extension manual.

💰 One-time support tiers

L one-time: 2500€ net

  • You get access to the early-access version of this extension for one TYPO3 LTS version (until I release a public compatible version).
  • I list you as a supporter in the release notes until I've released the public version of the extension.
  • I list you as a sponsor in the extension manual.
  • You get access to the add-on extensions for seminars which I'm planning to write, e.g., for creating certificates of attendance or for connecting with the accounting system "Collmex" for 2 years.
  • You support the development of this extension and bring forward the public compatible release of this extension.

XL one-time: 5000€ net (or more)

All of the above from "L one-time", plus:

  • You get permanent access to the early-access version of this extension for all TYPO3 LTS versions.
  • I will list you as a supporter in the release notes for 2 years.
  • You get permanent access to the add-on extensions for seminars which I'm planning to write, e.g., for creating certificates of attendance or for connecting with the accounting system "Collmex".
