Pipeline controller notification
This repository is configured to use the pipeline controller. Second-stage tests will be triggered either automatically or after lgtm label is added, depending on the repository configuration. The pipeline controller will automatically detect which contexts are required and will utilize /test Prow commands to trigger the second stage.

For optional jobs, comment /test ? to see a list of all defined jobs. Review these jobs and use /test <job> to manually trigger optional jobs most likely to be impacted by the proposed changes.

Addition of the feature gate is correct and links to respective EP. That being said, it looks like the EP has not really undergone much review - before progressing too far in the implementation behind this gate I'd recommend ensuring you've informed the appropriate stakeholders and that they have signed off on the enhancement.

I won't block the addition of the feature gate on this. Worth mentioning as well that the approval of this feature gate is not an approval of the API changes in the EP - please separately request a review of any API changes for the EP.
