Summary of Changes
Hello @ti-chi-bot, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request enhances the documentation for the clinic
diagnostic tool by explicitly listing audit logs as collectible data and providing a new section that details log file classification for more granular data collection.
Highlights
- Documentation Update: Audit Logs: The
tidb-audit.log.json
audit log has been explicitly added to the table of diagnostic data types that can be collected by the Diag tool, specifying its filename and the--include=log
parameter for collection. - New Section: Log File Classification: A new section titled 'Log file classification' has been introduced. This section explains how to use the
--include=log.<type>
parameter to specify which types of logs (e.g.,std
,rocksdb
,slow
,unknown
) should be collected.

Code Review
This PR updates the PingCAP Clinic documentation to include information about collecting audit logs, guided by the principle of completeness from the style guide. It adds audit logs to the list of data collected by diag
and introduces a new section on log file classification. I've suggested adding the audit
log type to the new classification list to align with the addition of audit log collection. This will improve the clarity and completeness of the documentation for users.
