AI has been redone so it plays smarter and makes less assumptions on what the player will do. Several bugs were fixed and some pieces were re balanced. Survival mode has been edited and beating Survival now offers a reward.
Some Bugs that were Fixed:
- Playing the game at higher speeds would make animations play incorrectly
- AI no longer does dumb stuff as often
Changes/Additions
- New Title Screen (!)
- Hidden Character is unlockable and usable in all modes
- Can now escape from Battles
- Battles are ended once 60 turns have elapsed
- Music
- More available colors (Ex. random2, random3, monochrome, randomHSV, and more)
Crashlog Patch
The game now prints out the sources of crashes in a separate file (GWcrashlogs).
Some Fixes and Changes
The final release but better. Several bugs that led to game crashes were fixed, and some features were added to improve the user experience. Fixed some grammar/typos. Some pieces were re-balanced, and Survival Mode got some new power ups.
Final Release
The full game. Has 3 modes: 2-Player Death Match, 2-Player Zone Match, and Survival. In the 2-Player modes, the user can play against a friend in local multiplayer, the AI, or watch the AI fight. In Survival Mode, the user can see how far they reach in a 50-floor survival challenge. Survival Mode has a high score board and it supports game saves.
Beta
The nearly completed GridWars game. Has all the levels of Survival mode and high scores. High Scores is still buggy and it does not save after closing the game out, but the rest of the game runs stably. Some features and bug fixes still need to be added in the next version.
Beta
Pre-Alpha
The Grid Wars project in its early phases. Has a super simple menu screen and a battle screen with zone rules. Is missing some sprites and has no character selection.
