About the project

WeCamp is a web based application that allows users to create, manage, and review campgrounds.

• Register using valid credentials
• Create a new campground
• Update a campground
• Browse all campgrounds
• Review a camground

It is deployed on Heroku. To run this application locally, follow the instructions below.

Installation

Requirements

1. Install and run MongoDB locally.
2. Create an account on Cloudinary and get the API key and secret code.
3. Create an account on MapBox and get the token.

Installing

1. Clone this repository on your local machine
2. Install all the dependencies using node package manager
3. Create a .env file in the root directory and store the Cloudinary cloud name, key, secret, and MapBox token

How To Use

1. Run the MongoDB server locally on your machine.
2. Run the application locally through terminal.
3. The website can be accessed from your machine locally at the url http://localhost:3000/.
