In case of commuting to Berlin, public transport does take the bigger share of chart closely followed by the private motorized transport. The pedestrian and bicycle traffic have a significant smaller part, which means less people go to work on foot or by bike, so most people who work in the city don't live in it. They use the public transport from the suburbs to the city centre. In comparison to the other purposes, walking is much more popular.

A 100,000 parking spaces across 45 parking zones provides a reasonable amount of place to store the commuters vehicle during day or night. Nevertheless parking in Berlin can get expensive.  In the beginning of 2018 bike sharing companies were booming immensely, but now a few decent companies survived the hype. Currently there are five active bike sharing companies operating in Berlin. The best known dealers are Nextbike, Call a Bike and Lime bikes.
