Unity package interaction

I request a SOFA & Unity3D – Full Integration trail licenses, try to find how to use in UE module.
I found class in unity plugin

public static extern int sofaPhysicsAPI_castRay(IntPtr obj, string toolName, float[] origin, float[] `direction);

but in sofaphysicsAPIBind cant find this method extern in sofa-framework sources.

I dont know how to implement the function.

Now ,I open scene in sofa engine that found from unity package liver-cut.scn ,and it display" Not Created(TetrahedronCuttingController)"

It only included by unity api? or how can i find function in engine sources.

Hi,

I'm sorry I think you are mixing several different aspects/projects.

• The "SOFA & Unity3D – Full Integration trail licenses" as it says, is only to test the full integration of SOFA in Unity with many plugins that are not publicly available.
• This integration is only for Unity3D and not for UE. There is a read-only integration in UE, open-source, available here.
• The bindings used for the full integration are not public right now.
• The liver-cut.scn is using the MeshRefinement plugin which is not public for the moment.

Do not hesitate to explain what is your project goal and we could guide you to the correct solution.

I need use interaction funtion at UE project, like Unity - Full intergration .
I try to import all .dll and .lib in UE Thirdparty， and can open sofa scene *.scn . But now I do not know how to use interaction in ue, cause I was not familar SOFA framework.
Can tell me how to simulate interaction at sofa? and I can update simulation in UE .

Hi,

unfortunately it is not that easy. You can't just copy the dll from the work done in Unity and past it in UE. Otherwise the full integration would already be available in UE.
What kind of interaction, that the read-only version can't do, are you looking for?
