Issue with Adding Python 3 Plugin to SOFA 24.06 Version

Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to integrate the Python 3 plugin into the executable version of SOFA, as demonstrated in the introduction video by Hugo Talbot, which can be found here: (https://sofa-framework.github.io/doc/getting-started/video-tutorials/introduction-course).

However, when attempting to load the plugin SofaPython3.dll from the following path: C:\SOFA\plugins\SofaPython3\bin, I encounter the following error:
"Plugin loading failed. The specified module could not be found."

If anyone has faced a similar issue or has insights on how to resolve it, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Hello !

This error message is misleading, it doesn't mean that SofaPython3 is not found, but one of its dependency is actually not found. To find out which one, i suggest you to inspect the dependency of the lib using a tool called Dependencies. You can download the latest release an look what is not found. It usually is a library such as numpy.

Thank you for your prompt response. I used Dependency Walker to check the dependencies, and I'm encountering the following messages:

I see. It is always difficult to navigate on such output. There are a lot of issue with OS related libs. Try not to take care of those and try to find one SOFA or Python-related dependency that might be missing. There are high chances that the one you are showing are meaningless for your problem.

And again, make sure you've got numpy installed on your OS and that your paths are rightly setup. See the documentation here : https://sofapython3.readthedocs.io/en/latest/content/Installation.html#setup-your-environment
