Myo Sphero iOS Application

North (formerly Thalmic Labs), the creator of the Myo armband, was acquired by Google in June 2020. Myo sales ended in October 2018 and Myo software, hardware and SDKs are no longer available or supported. Learn more.

This is an iOS application created to control the Sphero ball (http://www.gosphero.com/sphero-2-0/) using the Myo armband (http://myo.com)

Myo Pose Calibration Mode Drive Mode
Fingers Spread with Palm down Switch to Drive Mode
Double tap Switch to Calibration Mode
Fist + Rotate Change Sphero Forward Direction
Rotate arm (Roll) Move Sphero left and right
Raise or Lower arm (Pitch) Move Sphero towards or away from user

##How to use:

  1. Sync the Myo armband if it has not already need synced. Connect the Sphero to the iOS device using the Settings App > Bluetooth, then connect the Myo armband inside of the Myo Sphero application.
  2. When the armband is enabled ('Enable Myo' button) toggling between modes can be done using either the fingers spread gesture (with palm facing down), or double tap.
  3. In calibration mode (Yellow light active), the Sphero forward direction can be set by making a fist and rotating the arm until the blue light is facing the user.
  4. In drive mode (Blue light active), the Sphero will move left or right based off of the roll of the arm and towards or away from the user based off of the pitch.
