LITTLE_R format

Data is stored in reports. Each report consists of three or more records (one record is one line).

• The first record is a header which specifies the horizontal location (gps coordinates) and time.
• The following records are the data itself. Each record is the measurements for one vertical location (specified by the height or pressure).
• The last line is the ending record.

WRF requires that each time period is saved in a separate file. The following is from the focumentation:

All input files must have the format obs_filename:<YYYY-MM-DD_HH>. One file required for each time period.
