When alpha-composited: field: bg-white/10 over indigo-600 (#4F46E5) = #6158E8 placeholder: white/85 over field = #E7E6FC contrast = 4.21:1 ✗ (< 4.5 AA) For the gradient's full range (indigo-600 → indigo-900): indigo-600: 4.21:1 ✗ indigo-700: 5.05:1 ✓ indigo-900: 6.72:1 ✓ Bumping placeholder opacity to white/95 gives: indigo-600: 4.84:1 ✓ (above AA 4.5:1) indigo-700: 5.83:1 ✓ indigo-900: 7.92:1 ✓ Both the explicit .search-input::placeholder rule (globals.css) and the Tailwind utility class (HomeProductSearch.tsx) are bumped to 0.95 to keep them in lockstep.
