The person in the video chair is responsible for:
- Two computers: Webcast1 and Webcast2. (Webcast1 is on the left, Webcast2 is on the right.)
- Three unique streams to a total of five providers:
- Primary Stream: Produced in Wirecast with a mixture of cameras. Sent to:
- YouTube
- SermonAudio (for both Video and Audio-Only streams)
- Recording (for archive and editing into the Sermon-Only form)
- Facebook stream: Produced in OBS with a static shot. Sent only to Facebook.
- Phone stream: Produced in OBS and sent only to our 844 phone number.
- Primary Stream: Produced in Wirecast with a mixture of cameras. Sent to:
This should be completed at least 20 minutes before the prelude.
- Run the "Start Wirecast" script on Webcast1. This will automatically clone the Wirecast Template file,
insert the YouTube stream key automatically, and launch Wirecast. - Update the YouTube Key: Go to Output -> Output Settings and under YouTube, change the key to match the one on YouTube Creator Studio.
- Start the NDI output: Go to Output -> NDI Output -> Start.
- Turn on all cameras, verify that Graphics feed is being properly received by Webcast1.
- Run the "Start OBS x2" script on Webcast2. This will automatically start two instances of OBS: one for Facebook, and the other for the Phone Livestream. The Facebook instance will start streaming to Facebook's servers immediately, but Facebook's servers will not make that stream public until 10 minutes before the scheduled service start time. The Facebook stream should not require any interaction until after the service.
- 15 minutes before the service start time (at least five minutes before the prelude starts), start recording and streaming on Wirecast.
- When the prelude actually starts, start streaming to Phones on OBS. Do NOT start the phone stream early, as this results in people getting a silent phone call.
- When steering the cameras, do not show the congregation.
- Permitted shots include: those serving on the platform, musicians, and architecture (without congregants). The pre-loaded still shots of windows and other architectural elements are also acceptable, particularly behind the lyrics during hymns.
- For pulipt shots, the head of the pulpit mic should be exactly in the center of the shot.
After the postlude
- Stop streaming and recording on Wirecast. Close Wirecast.
- Stop streaming on both OBS instances. Close OBS.
- Restart both computers.
- Sign back into the computers, so they're able to automatically upload their files to the archive.
