Server Installation Overview

SpecLog allows repositories to be shared between clients using a server. The server components are included in the installer, but need to be selected during the installation process.

To install a server to host shared repositories:

1. Set up the SpecLog server
2. Grant clients access to the server
3. Configure per-repository access for the clients
4. Configure regular server backups

The following optional settings can also be configured for shared repositories:

• Work item synchronisation
• Source control synchronisation for Gherkin feature files

Two license models are available for granting access to shared repositories; server licenses and client licenses. Use the evaluation period to determine which model best suits your needs.
