Questions from Help desk

  • Anything new?

6.1 release

  • Status
    • The sasdata 0.10.0 release is imminent
    • The sasmodels 1.0.10 release is currently waiting on Bumps 1.0.0. Once this has been released, a release of sasmodels will shortly follow.
    • After this, a release candidate of SasView will follow.
    • There will be a test period of roughly a week. If there are no issues which we judge to be release blocking with the first release candidate, a full release will be made.
    • If there are issues, a second release candidate will be made, and this process will repeat until we have a release candidate ready for a full release.
  • Contributors list
    • Changes have been made to the contributors list to update details, and add new contributors.
    • Please check your entry to the contributors list to make sure it is accurate, and up to date (particularly if you are a new contributor).
  • Whats new window
  • Release notes
    • These are done, but could do with a second pair of eyes.
    • Any volunteers?
  • Questions/issues to raise?

ausaxs package

  • An issue was identified by Stuart with ausaxs. Its binary dependency is fetched by a Python script. This is extremely unusual for a dependency.
  • Can we explore packaging it in PyPi instead? Or some other package manager? https://github.com/SasView/sasview/issues/3449
